In healthcare skill development is crucial as it directly impacts on the safety and the wellbeing of the patients and outcomes. 
Healthcare organizations which prioritize skill development more likely to deliver high quality of service and better outcomes which attract more patients towards their care. 
‘These days, healthcare is often constrained by time and resources. The demands of high productivity and overwhelming administrative tasks create barriers that hinder clinicians from fully engaging with patients on a human level’(Andro Yuson, 2024). So to overcome these barriers it is compulsory to adequately train the healthcare workers to adapt to the efficient and effective latest methodologies of patient care. 




Skill development is very important in healthcare due to the rapid enhancements and innovations in the technology and treatment methodologies day today. So the healthcare professionals require continuous learning and training to accompli with the technology advancement. 


‘Outdated or inaccurate information can result in a poor patient experience, longer workdays, and unnecessary stress. And with the Great Resignation in full swing, healthcare leaders are under a lot of pressure to attract and retain as much talent as possible—and a big part of retention is keeping staff up to date on the latest data, so they are set up for success’ (Ramesh Ramani, 2022)





It is so substantial to invest in skill development of healthcare care workers as it can results in employee satisfaction and retention when they feel valued, cared and empowered. 


Skill development includes theoretical training programs and platforms for practical application and mentorship options. 


1. Clinical Training

Proficiency in practical skills like patient assessment, emergency response, and surgical procedures is developed through the use of simulations, mannequins, and clinical rotations.

Procedural Skills: Continuous training is crucial for healthcare professionals to master various procedures such as IV placement, intubation, and wound care.


2. Communication Skills

Effective communication training focuses on ensuring that healthcare providers can convey information with clarity, empathy, and respect with the patients
